A divine colour scheme of blush, sage and white sets the tone for this elegant botanical wedding. Lindsey and Pete had a modern and eclectic summer wedding. Their day was filled with greenery, an extension to their courtyard reception. Touches of rose gold were added for a modern twist. I used soft pinks on Lindsey for a dreamy and romantic makeup look.
The Wedding Venue
Lindsey and Pete chose Hampton Manor for their wedding venue. Hampton Manor is the perfect mix of character and contemporary. You can tell Lindsey and Pete were inspired by their venue when choosing their wedding theme. Olive trees, lush grasses and vibrant leaves surrounded the grounds of the venue. This is reflected inside their reception with sage green draping fabrics and delicate sprigs of foliage.
The glass-roofed atrium of the courtyard reception mirrored that of a garden greenhouse. This elegant interior really helped to bring nature inside.
The Wedding Makeup
Lindsey got ready in the bridal suite at Hampton Manor with her 3 closest friends as bridesmaids and her sister as maid of honour. I always allow plenty of time for the wedding prep, this helps the morning feel more relaxed and enjoyable.
A light and naturally enhanced makeup style is what I chose for Lindsey’s wedding makeup. Soft pinks using Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk palette were the perfect tones for a botanical look and tied in well with the blush and rose gold hues of Lindsey’s wedding. Continuing those tones onto the cheeks and lips keeps the makeup looking fresh and pretty.
I also used individual lashes carefully placed to give the appearance of bigger and brighter eyes. They picked up perfectly on the camera.

The Wedding Flowers
Penny Johnson created beautiful organic flowers for Lindsey and Pete’s wedding. The foliage was at the heart of all the floral displays and unstructured bouquets. Lindsey’s wedding bouquet had an array of roses, peonies and protea intermingled with eucalyptus, ferns, succulents, astilbe and pheasant feathers.
Flowers are a must for a botanical themed wedding, bringing a natural and earthy feel to the day. Incorporated with crisp white linen and accents of rose gold metal added contrast to the botanical theme.
The Wedding Dress
Lindsey looked like a goddess in her wedding dress by Essence of Australia from Wedding Belles of Four Oaks. This dress is the perfect balance of modern and sexy with a sheer plunge neckline adorned with Intricate beading and floral lace detail. Lindsey didn’t wear a lot of jewellery but instead accessories the look with a gorgeous beaded headpiece.
Thank you to Lindsey and Pete for choosing me to be your wedding makeup artist and thank you to Joanna Briggs for these authentic and bright images.
